Free Admission to the Game with a canned food good
All proceeds will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank.
Girls Game at 6:00 p.m.
AD's Mini-Game at 7:30 p.m.
Boys Game at 8:00 p.m.
There are 21 schools participating in Girls' 8th Grade Basketball. Each school sends one (1) representative. The top two (2) teams in the Division 1 standings as of February 11 will be allowed to provide a second & third player to the roster. Teams in third through seventh place in the Division 1 standings as of February 11 will be allowed to send a second player. This will provide for a total of 30 players, 15 per team.
There are 22 schools participating in Boys' 8th Grade Basketball. Each school sends one (1) representative. The top eight (8) teams in the Division 1 standings as of February 12 will be allowed to provide a second player to the roster. This will provide for a total of 30 players, 15 per team.
The top 2 teams in the Division 1 standings & the top 2 teams in the Division 2 standings, as of February 11, will provide the coaches.
Should a school choose not to participate, then alternates will be added based on standings of Division 1 teams as of February 11. Athletic Directors must fax the form below by February 11 to reserve a roster spot for their players. Schools in line to fill second positions will be notified on February 12. Please be prepared to name additional players at that time. The rosters will be completed by February 12 so that uniforms can be assigned & programs printed.
The games will be expanded to accommodate the larger roster size. Each game will feature two 18-minute halves of regulation basketball. The coaches & the DPL Athletic Director will split the teams. Jerseys will be provided by Bishop Lynch and shorts provided by the players.
The school demonstrating the most spirit, vocally and in numbers will be awarded a check for $100 to be used for a pizza party for their 8th grade teams.
