VIEW CURRENT 2007-2008 All-Sports Championship Standings.

The DPL, beginning in 2000-2001, will award two (2) schools with an All-Sports Championship Trophy at year’s end based on the point system below. Schools will be divided based on enrollment into either AA (larger schools) or A (smaller schools). The Trophies will rotate annually to the schools earning the most points that school year.

In the larger team sports, “A” division teams may still earn points while playing in a Division 1 league, however; “AA” teams may not earn points if entered in a Division 2 league. An “A” division team will earn 25 bonus points should it make the play-offs in a Division 1 league.*

In the smaller sports (cheer, drill, cross country, swimming, soccer, track, and golf), “AA” schools and “a” schools will be compared separately.

Numbers in parentheses indicate the number of divisions within that sport. For example: Basketball will have 7th grade girls, 7th grade boys, 8th grade girls, & 8th grade boys. Each division can earn points based on the outline below.

Schools that place multiple teams within the top eight (8) in any given sport will be awarded points for each place earned.

Only Varsity level results will count toward this Award.
